Visionary, Paul Cummings is the Founder and Chief Operating Director of Whole Cyber Human Initiative Inc., a service-disabled, veteran-owned nonprofit dedicated to empowering veterans, military spouses, dependents, and first responders through free, immersive cybersecurity education. With over 25 years of technology and cybersecurity experience, Paul’s mission is deeply rooted in his 20-year career as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, where he gained invaluable expertise in cyberspace operations, counter threat intelligence, advanced persistent threat (APT) research, and workforce development.

Driven by a commitment to philanthropy and service, Paul established Whole Cyber Human Initiative as a beacon of support and opportunity for those transitioning into cybersecurity careers. His nonprofit provides comprehensive training pathways aligned with national certifications and industry standards, equipping participants to secure vital roles within the cybersecurity workforce. Paul’s vision has made Whole Cyber Human Initiative an invaluable resource for individuals seeking to protect critical infrastructure while achieving personal and professional growth.

At the heart of Paul’s work is his dedication to inclusion, mentorship, and community impact. Through Boots 2 Cyber, a SkillBridge consortium, Paul has developed a unique program that delivers hands-on training in collaboration with respected organizations such as Dragos, CompTIA, EC-Council. His immersive approach builds both technical acumen and confidence, preparing participants to excel in real-world cybersecurity environments.

Further expanding his vision, Paul launched Lighthouse Cinema & Greenhouse LLC, a unique venue designed to embody Whole Cyber’s mission as a trade school and community hub. This project bridges the gap between education and career-readiness, providing a space where veterans, military dependents, and first responders can cultivate their skills and connect with meaningful employment opportunities. Lighthouse is seeking initial investors.

Throughout his distinguished career, Paul has been a steadfast advocate for workforce development and cybersecurity excellence. His leadership and vision have been recognized in previous roles with Booz Allen Hamilton and Stephenson Technologies Corporation, along with his extensive service in the U.S. Navy. As he leads Whole Cyber Human Initiative Inc., Paul remains dedicated to his core values of resilience, service, and empowerment, helping others secure sustainable careers in cybersecurity and protect the nation’s critical infrastructure.

Career is supported by CompTIA CASP and receipt of personal achievements awards: Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (4 awards), and the Navy Good Conduct Medal (5 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and Department of the Navy IT Excellence Award 2017.
